Terms and Conditions of Sale - Please read before buying!

Here we offer specimens from our own collection and the collection of friends for sale. We try very hard to present highest quality pictures of the specimens. Therefore we use a digital high resolution SLR camera from Canon (EOS 50) equipped with a macro lense for most pictures. We use halogen light bulbs and the corresponding white balance with the camera. We use the "Spyder 2" color calibration kit to adjust the displays used for preparation of the pictures.

Please note that the color seen on your screen, however, may not always represents the true color, as the color seen strongly depends on the screen type and the settings for the screen and the graphics card. Even then, the angle at which you look at your LCD-display influences the colors! Therefore, despite our efforts we cannot warant that the color seen on your screen exactly matches the color of the specimen.

If you like to purchase a specimen or inquire, please note the item number and press one of the "contact"-buttons in the ship section. You can write us a short message and we will get back to as fast as possible.

Prize  Price:

Demantoide, Val Malenco
Demantoides are rare from any location in the world, and there are very few Demantoids around from the classical site in the Val Malenco in the Italian Alps. This is a typical Val Malenco specimen associated with some of Asbestos fibres, which is commonly found with the demantoids there. The Demantoids in this specimen are smaller crystals that form a pillow of ~ 3 x 2 cm of this nice, green garnet.

Item: WQ01Tourmaline with Quartz-Matrix

Size~ 61 x 37 x 35 mm (Tourmaline)

Tourmaline,White queenTourmaline, white queenTourmaline, white queen
The White Queen is one of the famous tourmaline mines of the Pala mining district in southern California. This piece here is not the gemmiest one for sure, but it is a rather large specimen from a rarely offered locality. The tourmaline has striations and goes from a dark color to a very light pink. It is terminated, althout it appears that the termination begins to alter. The Quartz is milky and has a termination next to the tourmalines termination. There is some minor edge damage of the quartz in the back of this specimen. Nevertheless, a low price for a > 6 x 3.5 cm Tourmaline with terminations and shiny faces.

Item: HIM11 Tourmaline var Elbait
LocationHimalaya Mine, Mesa Grande, California
SizeSize: 47 x 39 x 16 mm
PrizePrice: Reserved!

Tourmaline, Himalaya MineTourmaline, Himalaya Mine
A quite unusual Himalya Tourmaline (Elbaite): It has a pink core that was overgrown by a later yellowish-greenish phase. The base of the troumaline appears to be broken off and rehealted (frosted), while the opposite end has nice, shiny terminations (one is damaged, see right picture, upper termination). However, despite this damage it looks lovely and we believe it is a quite reasonable price for a tourmaline of this size!

PrizePrice: Reserved!

green Tourmaline

Tourmaline, Himalaya MineTourmaline, Himalaya Mine
One often sees Tourmalines from the Himalaya, but rarely they are in Matrix! This one is a piece of Quartz Matrix, crystallized all around with some contact. It contains some feldspar crystals on the top and a bit of lepidolite in the back. In the front there is a partially gemmy  pink tourmaline of 5 cm length with a complete termination. The termination grew in part against another tourmaline, which can be seen at the side. This one broke off at one time and left partially rehealed termination. It comes with the display base.
