Coming Soon: Properties of Minerals - A brief introduction
On
this page we will inform you in the future about the properties
of minerals such as optical properties (color, pleochroism) and
chemical properties. In doing so we will focus on providing an
introduction to the underlying chemstry and phyics for
non-experts.
We
will also have an introductory section on
crystallography. Ultimately, we aim to introduce some easy
techniques used to identify minerals such as color of streak, density,
cleavage, etc.
